Antonio at RB is a travesty. Antonio as a wing back is fucking MAJESTIC! Plus with a decent three at the back and Obiang in there he gets the cover he will need as a wing back

Do you know what, wasn't sure about the change in formation before the game but it bloody worked! Hats off to Bilic, big call to make. Its a good position for Antonio to play (WB). Has good cover from one of the 3 and can be more adventurous in the areas he likes the ball. Same as Cresswell. Also means Payet and Lanzini can float/interchange.
It does work for our current personnel. Think we'll see more of this, especially away from home.

With the three in central defence, Antonio wasn't really an out and out right back, though. I think that set up can work well against alot of teams. Cresswell and Antonio as the wingbacks (is that what they're called?), getting a bit more cover when they bomb forward.

The ideal would be the unlikely event of Atkinson being big enough to admit he was wrong, and Cresswell getting to play next weekend. Then you could argue it was not bad that he only played 75 minutes in his first game back, as it was a gamble throwing him straight back into a London derby, but after coming through that test, we want him playing as much as possible to get fully up to speed.

Aaron Cresswell, pisses me off when some on here can't spell players names correctly.
Ref has to admit he was wrong on one of the yellows, thus he'll miss Sunderland.
You can only appeal a straight red.
